Sheffield Easter Egg Run 2012

Superbike star James Toseland leads a procession of big hearted bikers through Sheffield on Easter Sunday to the Children’s Hospital where they will visit patients and families to give out Easter eggs.

Sharrow Lantern Carnival

Sharrow Lantern Carnival on the 1st of April is a truly magical experience where thousands of people join together to parade their beautiful colourful lanterns and fill the night skies with a spectrum of coloured light, samba bands playing, fire blowers, performers and jugglers, starting the voyage at Mount Pleasant Park and ending up in the Sheffield’s General Cemetery where the celebrations take place with live music and fire spinners. This year's theme was "magic".

Spider Bridge, Sheffield

The 'Spider Bridge' forms part of the Five Weirs Walk along the River Don from Blonk Street, near the centre of Sheffield, eastwards to Meadowhall. The bridge is held in place by a lattice-work of suspension and tensioning cables and sits over the waters of the Don and below the railway arches of the old Victoria Station, now long gone.
