Day 6 Dingboche, Everest Base Camp Trek 2016

Today we spent the day at Dingboche to continue our acclimatisation. We climbed Nangkartshang Peak at 5,100m for great views of Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawoche and Ama Dablam.

Day 5 Thyangboche - Dingboche, Everest Base Camp Trek 2016
Thurs 17th Dec - Thyangboche (3,867m) - Dingboche (4,350m)
We descended through the forest to Devoche and a little further on we crossed the rushing Imja Khola. Then climbing steadily the trail enters Pangbouch, at 3,900m, the highest permanent settle in this valley. Ascending the valley, we had lunch at Shomore, after which we left the trees behind and crossed a wooden bridge at the confluence of the Khumbu and Imja Kholas. A short climb and we are at Dingboche, at 4,350m.
