The event, now in it's 5th year was again be part of the British Cycling National Elite Circuit Race Series and attracted the UK's top teams and riders to race around the 1.4km circuit.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the Tour de France coming to Sheffield a Hill Climb Time Trial has been staged on the Cote de Wincobank, Jenkin Road.

The 3rd Claremont Sheffield Grand Prix was the penultimate round of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Race Series and incorporated a 3rd and 4th category support race open to men and womenriders.
